Travel Opportunities for the advanced player
Players that want to compete at the high school level need to get experience beyond normal recreational opportunities. This year we have joined a competitive SW Michigan travel league and encourage soccer players to join up and start honing their soccer talent against some of the best players and teams in the local area!
The Pennfield Soccer Club (PSC) is a soccer club designed to offer a continuum of soccer opportunities for all level players. Our goal is to develop the player pool and over-all soccer program in the area. It is for students in elementary grades up to 8th grade. High school students are encouraged to volunteer for the various activities we offer the younger players.
We also provide a "Coaches Network", which supports new coaches with sample lesson plans for practices, drills, rules and procedures. All coaches are encouraged to ask questions, and share ideas, and Steve Kipp (Pennfield Varsity Coach) provides support to coaches by answering their questions and making suggestions.
In order to improve the quality of soccer in the WPMC league, the PSC is providing training and overseeing the referees at Wattles Park. We encourage continuous training of players and refs to be able to officiate at higher levels (WMYSA, High School, etc).
